Do You Know Who You Really Are?

If I asked you to tell me who you are without being able to use titles such as mum, wife, partner, sister, manager, employee what would you answer? Would you answer easily or would you find it difficult?

Often as women, it can feel our identity is so tied up in who we are to others, we forget who we are to ourselves. What we love, what makes us happy, what we stand for. It’s easy to know who we in our responsibility roles. We play those roles on autopilot. They are so well rehearsed, we don’t have to think about them. How often do we get the chance to be ‘ourselves’ and revel in what that feels like.

Gaining Clarity From January Reflection

This month’s newsletter covered resolutions and the fact that most are broken by 15th January every year due to a lack of willpower but perhaps more likely a lack of planning for success. Often the changes we want to make require a huge shift and it’s always easier to fall back into old habits than make new ones.

Create Your Own Calm

Creating calm isn’t as easy as it sounds. You need to make the most of it when the opportunity arises or alternatively plan in moments when you can devote some time to you. Calm is as much a state of mind as a physical environment, so uncluttering your thoughts and concentrating on positives can often be as beneficial to you as a physical rest from the day-to-day rush.
