Empowering Working Mums As International Women’s Day Is Celebrated

Monday, March 8th, 2010

As we celebrate International Women’s Day today, 8th March, a new online resource provided by Empowering Mumpreneurs has been launched to enable working mums who face the challenging task of coping with the day to day reality of running a business, supporting a family and managing a home to seek professional support from an experienced and qualified professional coach.  Empowering Mumpreneurs now provides online coaching to help women focus on and develop their business, whilst encouraging, motivating and inspiring them to succeed!

International Women’s Day is a global day that celebrates the economic, political and social achievements of women past, present and future. In some places like China, Russia, Vietnam and Bulgaria, IWD is a national holiday.  The Online Coaching Signature Programme offered by Empowering Mumpreneurs, From Seed to Success, is designed to support women business owners by helping them to investigate ways in which they can successfully develop and grow their business, whether it’s a new start-up in its infancy or an established business. Celebrate Your Success

Monday, January 18th, 2010

It is often the case that mums feel like life is one long treadmill of chores, work and planning. We forget to enjoy many aspects of life such as finding time to spend with the family and taking much-needed time-out from the grindstone!

It is also true that mums don’t give themselves enough credit for the good work they do and the success they achieve in life. So here are a few typical events in life that call for the occasional ‘Time Out Treat’ (in no particular order):

  • Getting the housework done on the day you planned to do it. TREAT: a cup of tea and your favourite biscuit with your feet up.
  • Earning a promotion at work. TREAT: a night out with your partner or friends (without the kids!)
  • Getting round to booking the car in for an overdue service. TREAT: A quick catch up on the phone with a friend.
  • Helping your child understand their homework topic and they achieve an ‘A Grade’ as a result. TREAT: Quality time together.
  • Winning a new contract for your business. TREAT: A mini facial at your local beauty salon.
  • Helping a friend with a personal issue. TREAT: A long soak in the bathtub! (more…)

The Non-Adventures of Supermum

Thursday, October 1st, 2009

Are you one of the millions of 21st Century mums on the quest to become a Supermum? Are you so desperate to achieve this astounding status that you have absolutely no time to fulfil your own pleasures in life?

Let’s consider the concept of the ‘Supermum’. The title does sound very grand, aspirational and positive, doesn’t it? However, not only is the vision of lycra-clad, cape-wearing mums standing by a school gate hilarious and yet some how horrifying, the concept of such social standing is even more ridiculous. (more…)

Retain your Resolve in a Recession

Monday, February 16th, 2009

The credit crunch has hit households in such a powerful way it has left many of us feeling insecure, fearful and powerless. These emotions centre on the uncertainty that the recession poses to our financial well-being, stability and security.

Listening to conversations and working with clients, it is clear that when times get tough, people divide into one of two types. One rises to the challenges of the times ahead and adapts accordingly. The other backs down and withdraws from the uncertainty they face.

The choice facing us all is simple: you buy into the paranoia and the media’s overwhelming barrage of bad news, and resign yourself to putting your aspirations on hold until things start to ‘look up’ or, you rise to the challenge by assessing your needs and developing new strengths, skills and attitudes that satisfy your life situation. Severe Burnout Empowered Me To Help Others

Monday, February 9th, 2009

Tracey Wall, 40, finds helping others is the perfect way to live a wonderful life. Tracey lives in Cheshire with her husband and five year old daughter.

During a holiday on the west coast of Wales, I realised my life was not the perfect picture I envisaged it would. From the outside, everything seemed wonderful. I had a caring husband and a beautiful daughter who both loved me very much. Not only that, but I had a successful career working in management in the finance sector. With the support of my family and friends close by, life really couldn’t get much better. (more…)

About Coaching

Tuesday, January 20th, 2009

Coaching is…

…supporting you to move from where you are now to where you want to be, by:

Identifying and clarifying your dreams and aspirations

Helping you to recognise obstacles that stop you achieving goals

Supporting you to overcome and remove these obstacles

Guiding and accelerating your journey to life-long achievement

Coaching is not…

…counselling or therapy. We do not delve into deep routed issues or provide advice.

We provide coaching specific to you as what is right for one is not necessarily right for another as no two people are the same or have the same set of circumstances. (more…)
