Stop Doing, Start Enjoying!

Do you feel like life is a constant treadmill? You always seem to be doing things but nothing seems to get done! Isn’t it about time you stop worrying about the small things and start to enjoy life? If you worry about finding a way to do this, these fun tips might just help to focus your mind. You could use them as your quick-reference mantra that will empower you to live your life your way.

Start every day by making the beds and opening the curtains wide. You will feel in control of your surroundings and the light shining in will uplift and energise you for the day ahead! (If it is still dark, you will get that warm feeling from being inside while outside is still quiet and frosty!)

Write out your to-do list and prioritise each task. Don’t beat yourself up if you can’t get to something for a few days. These are your priorities and only you can control how much you are able to deliver. Don’t over-commit to keep stress levels to a minimum.

Don’t let what-ifs hold you back. The message here is simple: if you want to do it, believe you can and go for it!

In your free moments, enjoy some cuddle-time with the kids. Don’t get sidetracked into doing something else. It is FREE time – use it doing something you love that will make a real difference to you and the kids!

Do something that makes you smile every day! Even better, do something that makes the ‘snort laugh’ come out – you know the one!

When you need it, ask for help.
Knowing someone is there for you is incredibly soothing. Return the gesture and you have a support system for life!

Be honest about the way you feel.
Don’t get overwhelmed by carrying your thoughts and feelings alone in your head; they will only snowball and become out of proportion. Share with a partner or good friend or even just clear your head by writing it all down on to paper. It will be such a relief to clear your mind!

Each day visit a blog that uplifts you.
There are plenty of blogs that you can regularly visit for feel-good messages that motivate and empower you.

Prepare your things the night before
. This really does save time and eliminates pre 9am stress. Put out everyone’s clothes, bags and keys the night before and you will have an easier morning.

Get to bed! You really will function better when you’ve had a good night’s sleep!
